Juan Sebastián Vásquez, born on July 9, 1981, in Caracas, Venezuela, is a distinguished director, screenwriter and cinematographer. He began his career as a copy producer for HBO Latin America Group, later transitioning into cinematography.

In 2022, Vásquez co-directed his first feature film, “Upon Entry,” with Alejandro Rojas. The film received critical acclaim and garnered several awards and nominations.

His filmography also includes roles as director of photography for the Málaga Film Festival Winner “Callback” (2016) and Netflix Original “The Paramedic” (2020), both directed by Carles Torras.
